Welcome to the wonderful world of Beer League Hockey!
About The Author

Steve DuncanSteve Duncan was born and raised in Guelph, Ontario, Canada and has a degree in Journalism and Communications Media.

Currently the League Coordinator of Adult Recreational Programs, Steve was inspired by many people to write this book while running these leagues. Each year, Steve works with over 120 hockey teams and 1,600 players both young and old and skill levels of all calibers.

"I play Beer League at least three times a week (year round) myself. There are so many great people I’ve encountered at the rink, that I had to write a book about them. Each player in a sense is there own character. I just took the most recognizable ones and narrowed them down”.

Steve represents a few of the characters displayed throughout his book himself.

"I'd like to say I’m “The Stud” but I'm far from it. Most people would probably tell me that I'm “The Chirper” as I don’t know when to keep my mouth shut out there!"

One of Steve’s passions is coaching the game of hockey. With over 10 years of experience, he currently works with children and adults of all ages, bringing them closer to the game they are learning to love.

“It’s remarkable how many adults are learning to play hockey for the first time. I applaud them for taking up something new that requires so much time and practice. It’s a pleasure to watch them improve!”

The Beer League Hockey Handbook is the first of many to come from this new Canadian Author.  Keep an eye out for future sports titles from Steve including golf, baseball, and basketball.
